Hi! Sorry if this has already been answered -- I couldn't find anything after searching around. I was curious if there was any sort of meaning behind the logo or if it was just art that the band ended up liking? If anyone more informed than me knows, I'm quite curious :) Thanks!

The band has had numerous logo's over the years, I think (don't know forsure) that the majority/if not all of them have been artwork designed by John. In relation to the "Arrow Logo" as far as I know it is designed by John with the April Uprising being the inspiration...in which his great great whatever grandfather/relative shot the initial arrow that started the uprising so to speak. http://en.wikipedia..../April_Uprising
So i guess that is where the Arrow & the Lion come from.

There's a lot of meaning to it on various levels, like most esoteric symbols.
It was designed by both myself and JB and went through a few changes from where it started out. We knew what we wanted and we went back and forth with the idea until we settled on this design.
If you can find a radio copy of the One Way Road single (not the retail version) then there's an earlier version of it on that because we hadn't worked it out by the time we needed art for the radio single.

In a nutshell it represents waking up, rising up, pushing forward, breaking through, standing tall against what ever tries to bring you down - the lyrics/chorus to Revolution is probably a good starting point.

JB designed the original JBT logo featured on the JBT EP cover. That was a pencil drawing in one of his notebooks which we featured in the booklet of the Sunrise Over Sea vinyl edition.

Ahh awesome! Thanks so much for the info. I saw JBT at the Gorge the other day and really liked the logo [unfortunately it was only my second time seeing them] and had been wondering about it ever since.

Hah! Awesome. Thanks for the link -- I couldn't find that thread when I was searching. Seems like DMB is doing a good job of spreading the JBT word :P
