Wouldn't be summer without a stop in Toronto! Getting a pair tomorrow morning!
Me too, but why does it cost $18.75 to ship 4 tickets to Canada.
That's just f--king outrageous.
edit: yay for over 37 dollars in service/shipping fees!

Not the GD Sound Academy Again--and before that the mod club.
We actually have a few places in Toronto that have something called SEATS and decent acoustics--Massey Hall, Danforth Theatre even Ontario Place---John you had to sit on the amps while jerks slugged it out at the Sound Academy last July. Too many absolutely crappy venues in T.O. the last 3 times through. Pack them in like sardines in a can, standing for hours--no thanks --This venue is way below someone of John's stature now., skipping this tour unless JBT performs somewhere other than a glorified bar.
John --drop your promoter and get someone who can book you a decent venue in T.O.
And not STEAL from hard working people with outrageous shipping and handling fees.

I haven't seen JBT live since 2007(the last time he came to Atlanta and headlined) so I am interested to see the new lineup.
Anyone else going to the Charlotte show? I know absolutely nothing about Charlotte and wouldn't mind a recommendation for a restaurant and/or bar for food/drinks before the show from anyone from the area.

My name is Aaron, long time forum member and acquaintance of Johns. I only ask who you are because you came on here to the forum and the first couple posts you made were complaining about this venue in Toronto and coming off like an ass about stuff. I am sure John and his tour managers picked the best venue of their interest.
Everyone has an opinion and are entitled to it, as you are. Just please vent and post as an open opinion and not direct it toward certain people like John or his team.....that will get you nowhere on here. This wasn't a hateful response, just kinda helping you with your "etiquette" because at one time I was hated on this forum......I know how it is, trust me!

Yeah, Toronto is one of the only cities that gets him EVERY year so everyone please be more appreciative to what JBT and their team does for your city. YO P-MAN.....you still interested in that GN vinyl?I for one don't agree that the Sound Academy is a bad venue. Its got a good sound system and this will be the 3rd time they've played there, so it can't be bad if they keep returning to it. Other highly notable acts have played there in recent years, such as Them Crooked Vultures, Queens of the Stone Age, and The Decemberists, just to name a few. It may not appeal to you, but I know many that like it. I agree with Aaron, please be respectful of the band and their management team, they put a lot of hard work and effort into putting together tours and coming to our great city almost every year at least once.
Peace.

usually if they have a show the next night, they usually leave no longer than 3 hours after the show....he will probably be able to come out and do some autographs and chill for a few with everyone.

We may have to do that. Do you know The Tabernacle? We are apparently staying 300 yards away from the venue. Planning on getting seats up top, wife doesn't like GA floor shows.
