A school assesment is making me write then preform a speech, I have to find a book or a magazine to take some notes from or else i fail :( my speech is mainly going to be about john butler, and how i find it sad that such a amazing musician who stands up for what he belives in doesnt get anywhere near as much publicity, and love as some of the other artist of the modern music scene, so if anyone can post a link to magazines or books he's been in would be awesome, and even random facts about john butler that a New Zealander would have no idea about would be amazing :D

There did used to be a JB in the News/Media discussion section in the forum, and I recall scanning and posting some articles/interviews about John from a magazine or two there, but I can't find the threads right now. Maybe one of the mods would know where it is?

Well, wikipedia has a great page on JB that may be of some help. Some of the info is "iffy" but that should get you started.

Random stuff......hmmm....its mostly common knowledge around here but here is a few:

1) The song Zebra is pronounced 'Zeh Bruh'. That is how John says it.
2) He has two kids...Jahli(boy) and Banjo(girl)
3) His wife is Mama Kin (Danielle Curauna) i think i spelled it right.....lol
4) At one time he was referred to as the "Million Dollar hippie" which I am almost sure he hated...lol

I could go on and on but just keep in mind that he has had a big part in the "Save the Kimberly" protests. Also, the 2007 Summer North American tour, the trio used Biofuels on a big part of their tour to help with environmental issues. It is safe to say that JB and the crew does do what they can in every available opportunity to help out in all ways possible. Just do some "Google digging"....lol

There is a wicked interview in Rolling Stone magazine, when he was on the front cover a few years back.
