It’s been nearly four years since the John Butler Trio’s Platinum album ‘April Uprising’ was released to global acclaim, since then the band has continued to tour the world cementing its stature as one of the most thrilling live bands on the global touring circuit. With the final touches being made to a brand new album called ‘Flesh & Blood’ to be released on February 7th 2014, it’s time for the Trio to open a new chapter with their beloved Australian fans with the first track Only One’.

Availablefrom Friday November 15th, the new single Only One’ presents a fresh take on JBT’s signature sound. Cascading acoustic riffs flow effortlessly over driving rhythms while sun kissed steel drums and an inspirational melody and lyric delivers a quality summer soundtrack.

In other recent news the John Butler Trio have welcomed new drummer, percussionist and backing vocalist Grant Gerathy to the fold. Hailing from Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia, Grant has been playing drums since he was ten years old. He previously played with Byron in Ray Mann Three and most recently with Queensland musician Bobby Alu. Grant has recorded with Kelly Slater & Angus Stone to name just a few.

The Trio’s intimate ‘Only One’ tour, taking place this month is already sold out and will show case a wide selection of songs from their new studio album. The extensive ‘Flesh and Blood’ album tour will be announced soon, taking the band to fans throughout Australia in March and April 2014.
